SUPERMODEL Lara Stone's husband David Walliams has been hospitalised following his epic 140-mile charity Thames swim. A spokesperson from Comic Relief - the charity he completed the feat for - has said that there will be an official statement made this afternoon following reports that Walliams may be suffering from anything ranging from a serious back injury to Weil's Disease.
"Comic Relief understands that David has contracted a bug that has caused a stomach upset," a spokesperson told us today. "He is being treated for this and has been advised by medical professionals that it is not serious and that he will soon be back to full health. David has not been tested for Weil's disease."
Walliams was forced to cancel a scheduled public appearance on Saturday night due to back pain, when he was due to host the London premiere of fashion documentary Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston. His wife Lara Stone - who he accompanied earlier this month to New York Fashion Week - is thought to be with him as he begins treatment.Read more
