Hilton's Cocaine Case Closed

Paris Hilton can move on from her cocaine-related legal woes after going above and beyond her court order and logging 228 hours of community service.

The reality TV star was arrested in Las Vegas in August, 2010 after a small bag of white powder fell out of her purse in front of a police officer during a traffic stop, and she was later charged with felony drug possession when the substance was confirmed as cocaine.

Hilton struck a deal with prosecutors last September (10) and pleaded guilty to two misdemeanour charges of drug possession and obstructing an officer, and was ordered to complete 200 hours of community service, pay $2,000 (£1,250) in fines, and attend an "intensive" substance abuse programme.

And the socialite took her sentencing seriously - on Tuesday (20Sep11) Hilton wowed a Sin City judge at a progress report hearing by submitting her volunteer log, which included an extra 28 hours of work, according toTmz.com.
