Courteney Cox Arquette's anti-ageing regime

Courteney Cox Arquette says beauty is a "slippery slope" once you hit the age of 40.

The American actress looks young beyond her 47 years and is regularly admired for her enviable physique and stunning looks.

Cox Arquette believes people must work harder to look good with age, but insists getting older also has its benefits.

"Beauty over 40 is a slippery slope," she told New Beauty magazine. "But the life experience and knowledge we gain can make us sexier with age."

Cox Arquette works out using the Tracy Anderson Method four times a week. Anderson is famed for training a whole host of Hollywood royalty including Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson.

Cox Arquette makes sure she sticks to a healthy diet. She usually has a light breakfast of just coffee, chicken salad for lunch, and steak, chicken or fish with vegetables for her evening meal.

The brunette beauty sometimes strays from her strict eating regime though.

"I do cheat, on occasion, with pasta or bread and butter," she confessed in the magazine.

"And I do eat a lot of cheese and nuts, which is probably not the best idea."
