Charlize Theron Dips Into Zwart Water

Looking to spread her genre wings, Charlize Theron is spearheading the development of horror thriller remake Zwart Water at Summit, with Scott Derrickson set to co-write and direct.

Zwart Water (Black Water), also known as Two Eyes Staring, originated in the Netherlands. Directed by Elbert Van Strien, it follows a young girl who makes the disturbing discovery that her new friend and playmate is actually A) her mother’s dead twin and B) really rather dangerous. Theron is looking to play the mother, a woman who isn’t exactly sane herself.

The actress picked up the remake rights to the movie last year and has been busy setting things in motion. She approached Derrickson and The Exorcism Of Emily Rose co-writer Paul Boardman about crafting the script and directing and now they’re looking to get it made next year.

Derrickson is currently at work on another Summit film, Sinister, a found footage horror starring Ethan Hawke and Vincent D’Onofrio.Read more at Empire Online

Charlize Theron: "Kristen Stewart is super cool"

Charlize Theron has described her Snow White and the Huntsman co-star Kristen Stewart as "super cool".

The Monster star revealed that while she has yet to work with Stewart on the forthcoming film, she believes the Twilight actress will do a great job in her role as Snow White.

"I haven't gotten to work with [Stewart] yet," Theron told the Los Angeles Times. "it's mostly been me and my kingdom, alone, while everyone is out looking for her."

She continued: "We've had one day together, she did some off-camera for me and we got to hang out a little bit. She's super cool and she's going to be amazing in this."

Meanwhile, Theron and Stewart's co-star Sam Claflin has said that the 21-year-old will do a "diamond job" in Snow White and the Huntsman. Claflin plays Prince Charmant in the fairytale retelling.

In August, Twilight star Taylor Lautner said that he expects Stewart to be an "edgy and dark" Snow White, saying that the project is exciting for the actress. READ MORE
